OUR PROGRAMS INCLUDE
Description

The AP Chemistry course cultivates the student understanding of chemistry through inquiry based investigations, as they explore topics such as: atomic structure, inter molecular forces and bonding, chemical reactions, kinetics, thermodynamics, and equilibrium.

Each student is assigned to a Stutorialz Tutor to help them during their course. This course is a blend of Live one on one session with the Tutor and Online Self study. Students have up to two live sessions per week with the instructor at preschedule time that works best for the student. Students actively engage with the lectures, interact with online resources, and solve practice tests at the end of each chapter. Computer based interactives and assignments help to reinforce concepts taught in the course. Students/parents can review the progress and access the learning through graded assessments, which include chapter quiz, midterm exams, and a cumulative final

  1. Strong Foundations in Mathematics, Understand:
    1. Master the basic chemistry course with quantitative skills such as understanding surface area and volume; hypothesis testing and the null hypothesis; noting the use of mathematical models to investigate the relationships which occur in nature; use of equations for explaining phenomena such as population growth(from biology) or basics of stoichiometry, gas laws, and dilutions of stock solutions (from chemistry).
    2. Be knowledgeable of basic tools for scientific measurement.
    3. Apply basic mathematical principles such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of numbers with exponentials and/ or scientific notation.
    4. Apply the basics of logarithmic mathematics to solve problems, especially in the acids & bases section where solving for pH problems.
    5. Apply basic mathematical principles such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of numbers associated with ratios and/ or proportions.
    6. Convert from fractions to decimals to percentages and reversals of steps.
    7. Convert from one unit to other units using multiple-step processes.
    8. Solve algebraic equations with multiple unknown variables.
    9. Apply order of operations so as to solve various equations.
    10. Maintain a reading pace of about two chapters or more per week.
    11. Reach a level of proficiency in the comprehension of an English language text.
    12. Work to gain understanding of the fundamentals of science, such as basic scientific method.
    13. Distinguish and identify a variety of geometric shapes and have a basic understanding of what these shapes will do when rotating them in a three-dimensional space frame.
    14. Solve problems, using a methodological system by reviewing and working practice problems.
    15. Have the capability of taking notes over the chapter sections and making sense of the vocabulary as well as the concepts.
    16. Practice assessment taking strategies so as to be adept at navigating through test situations in a timely manner.
